Thanks. Enjoy the rain. 😀 In the spring I like to take pictures of flowers in the rain with an umbrella. They look really neat with the rain drops. You might like to try that too. I know it's hard to do that sometimes but the photos come out great.
We are supposed to have sunny weather where I live for about five more days. It is going to get quite hot too.

Thanks Ray. I do have a book on Oregon birds, so that helps me most of the time.
For taking pictures of wildlife in the rain, I have done that with a huge umbrella. But it's hard to hold the umbrella and the heavy camera/telephoto lens at the same time. So, if it's just sprinkling lightly, I'll just let them get wet and I have a cloth to wipe them dry (and then get back under my huge umbrella). But most of the time, I'll only take pictures in the rain with my smaller cameras/lenses.

I had to read that more than once to get the sense. I presume you meant you like to take pictures of flowers in the rain. The alternative was taking pictures of flowers with an umbrella (rather than a camera!) , which is quite a feat, though you did admit that it is sometimes hard to do!
Just kidding!

That's a lovely picture, Dig. I remember 95°F in southern Indiana, and the only thing I could do in that heat was sit by the pool! 92°F is not that far from it. I tend to start melting about 80°. Houston gets so hot that you can only go out in the car, and with full a/c drowning the radio. The hottest we have had here this year has been 22°C, but I am sure it will go above 30 later in the year.

I'm still figuring it out but I'm close to finding a solution where you dont need an umbrella at all, will need rain clothing though and in regard to the equipment rain dress those as well, fully waterproof even. I'll get back about it once I'm done experimenting.

Thanks. I took that photo last June of 2022. We had rain and then the sun popped out. So I got the combination of raindrops and sunshine.
Ray, here's one you might like. I took it in near darkness at ISO12800 and a very slow shutter speed. I don't think I needed F10 for the depth of field, but "it is what it is". 😀 I had to brighten it up a little in post.
