    Benji,

Welcome. I don't know what to think about Dpreview. We will have to wait and see. Maybe someone will purchase it.

    David,

The architecture and statues are beautiful. That's great you did not get rain.

The issue is not the Internet speed, it is the fact that I keep all my iCloud Photos high res. And yes, when I upload a batch, the Internet link is working all night!

    Hi Digirame

Yes it’s a lovely site. The vegetable garden and small orchard were looking good too.

    David

This looks great with the sunlight on it. Nice shot.

Benji, how big are the files you're trying to upload?
DPRevived currently has a 100MB file limit.

I remember seeing a size limit on uploads. Has it been fixed? Usually I’ll have photos in the order of 10 mb size if processed. For old photos scanned and heavily processed it can go to 25 mb. Of course, at that size, uploads are very long.

Ok. Retrying with bigger size files. From my marine aquarium in 2010. Older users from dpreview will have seen this already. These are the most complex photos I have ever done. Post processing was done a few years ago using new AI software as there were bubbles, window scratches, etc. visible on the photos.

Photos captured with my Canon 40d and 7D.

Makes no sense to me to upload my photos to Flickr because of my slow internet speed.

Now we’re talking. While we’re on the subject, I noticed that uploaded files need to be clicked on to be viewed. Is there a way to change that behaviour? Also, I tried last month to link a photo from my OneDrive drive and it wasn’t working. Retrying one right now. Seems to work. If that’s the case, this forum is really improving!

I was expecting a link from OneDrive to be showing automatically. Not the case it seems.

This photo was taken from my iPhone because bringing my dslr on the Sea-Doo is complicated. Not so to transport it but not to drop a lens in the water.

Ok, the “Image” function doesn’t work with OneDrive but the “Link” function does.

I tried editing my previous post but I never found the save button. What’s the trick? Thanks.

This, of the Rathausmnn, is shot with my EF70-300 lens. A little larger and better focussed. It certainly reveals more than the naked eye from ground level.

Thanks for adding more info about this statue, Steve. I went to look for the copy; but couldnt find it. I read that it was taken away for restoration in 2018, and I suppose that it may not have been returned yet. I will make a more determined effort next time I am there.

For viewing photos, you need to do what I said here.
I use OneDrive, and it would be great if you could embed photos on DPRevived. I haven't actually tried yet, though.

It's in the same place as the "Post reply" button that you use when replying in the first place.

Ok. Here’s another photo. Photo is now showing. BTW, this car is 20 years old. Now I’ll try to do the same with OneDrive.

I can’t find a way to embed a OneDrive photo. Same thing from iCloud. It would need a script for that I think. There are several cloud providers: Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, etc.

Maybe the programmers of this forum could create a similar code than the one used for uploads. The limit being 4 GB, using links would be really interesting.
