Z 24-120mm f/4 travel lens, is also good at closeup

    I consider the 24-120mm range ideal as a single lens kit for travel, hiking, mountaineering with an FX camera. It also goes close to a reproduction ratio 1:2.4 with a horizontal image width of 84mm at f=120mm. Working distance from the front of the lens is ~ 160mm . The example below is cropped at 100% using a Z7-II.DSC_2861.jpg

    Nice to know! Will try this with focus stacking when I eventually get my Z8/24-120mm combo. :)

    I think that the 24-120mm is a fantastic travel lens add a fast prime in your favoured focal length and you are good to go. Used on the high MP cameras you have quite a bit of cropping available. No complaints about the lens from I even think when its abilities are taken into account it is reasonably priced
