Z30 firmware update (1.10)

Hi!
There is a Z30 firmware update:

Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.00 to 1.10
• Added support for the iOS edition of NX MobileAir. Use NX MobileAir version 1.1.3 or later.
• Added support for MC-N10 remote grips.
• Added support for the power zoom feature available on some lenses.
• A red frame is now displayed around the monitor during video recording to indicate that recording is in progress.
• The elapsed recording time is now displayed during video recording.
• The camera will now focus with each shot taken using an ML-L7 if [AF-C] is selected for [Focus mode] and [Release] is selected for Custom Setting a1 [AF-C priority selection] in the [CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU].
• Autofocus has been improved so that the focus position will not change if the shutter-release button is pressed halfway during memory recall in any focus mode.
• Focus-point selection for self-portrait mode using an ML-L7 has been improved.

A nice update for the Z30! The red frame for video recording should be a big improvement for vloggers and the new power zoom lens will be a good addition to the lens lineup

Downloaded the Windows version: F-Z30-V110W.exe

When I launch it even with Admin rights: no visible start, no error, nothing at all ... the camera is USB connected.

There is always a "first".
This is the first time in 50 years I don't even know if a program has a start!!

Yeah, it's meant to be unzipped, and then you move the file onto the card to run the update.

Nikon has a more detailed guide on their website somewhere

The file downloaded is an executable. So you just click on it and it usually creates a folder. On my Windows computer the file downloads into the Downloads folder and the new folder is usually created on my desktop with the .bin file.

I missed that point, sure I've gotten and saw the .BIN but not having found the instruction's PDF...
... I supposed the .Exe would dialog with the camera.

Instead, I will have to copy it manually the Camera's card. Bleah.

I feel Computers-side Nikon is still far away in the past.

As for WIFI ...
...forcing the Z30 to be THE router instead of being a Client, able to connect to a Lan, and subsequently to the NET for updates Over The Air !!!!
