    I have a Z50, had it for awhile but there are still some things I get confused about.

    I shoot in aperture priority and as currently configured if I'm trying to "shift the numbers" (that is, go from f/4 and 1/1000 sec to f/8 and 1/250 sec) this is done with the back dial, the front dial does nothing. I want this done with the front dial instead, as was the case with cameras like the D7200.

    Is this possible?

    I no longer have my Nikon but yes you can, I used to do exactly that, here’s the instructions:

    I think this flips the dials in S mode too. If you do not mind that ...
    Another tip: You can make the other dial adjust exposure compensation. It's different from the +- key because you can make it reset the compensation after switching off and on.
