I had the lens delivered from B&H yesterday. Very impressive but not much chance to go out for shooting yet. Today I put on some camouflage myself using gaffer tape, jungle fabric. It looks exotic on my Z9 now.

    Vinyl wrap

You can buy it cheap for doing riffle's and scopes from most outfitters
Watch a couple videos on how to and also look at using knifeless tape for doing all your cutting it really makes it easy for seams and cutting. just place it where you want to joint or cut and pull to cut

    How to cut

Looking forward to seeing some samples as I've read many good things about this lens, but the question begs to be asked .- why using camouflage on an 85mm lens? Surely that focal length isn't particulary useful for shooting wildlife? or is it for protection purposes?

It's just merely a fun decoration in my mind.

You just gave me an idea. I should look for wrapping that makes the lenses look badly beat up. Could come in handy when visiting certain places to make your gear look less tempting to those who like to help themselves to other people's belongings.

Would it be easy removing the tape from the lens body? Esp after a long time?

It's very easy to remove at anytime. There are 2 layers. The 1st layer is gaffer tape, the 2nd layer is fabric. Gaffer tape is easy to peel off the lens and leave no residue.

A colleague recently bought an 85mm f/1.2 S and borrowed my 85 f/1.4 Zeiss Otus to compare on his Z9 with the FTZ. Now he's looking for an Otus. I'd like to be able to compare the two on Velvia-50 instead of a computer monitor.
