Indeed, itβs a big plus.

I'd say it's the Z8's 46 MP that allows you to crop a lot.
You're very lucky to have this superb Z8 in your hands.

It's clear that smartphones are gaining ground every year.
I've had a lot of fun making comparisons - over a dozen of them!
From iPhone 3G (2008) / Lumix G1 (2008) first iPhone and first MFT
www.flickr.com/photos/maoby/albums/72157714525273607/
to the iPhone SE (2022) and my Fujifilm X-T5 (2022)

But not many photographers will be working with a smartphone at the next Olympic Games. π
I made a comparison with my tiny TTArtisan 28mm f/5.6 mounted on my Fujifilm X-T5 with an adapter.
And the legendary Fujifilm X100 π

There was a lot more sharing in the early days of digital.

And yes, it's already the 30th anniversary of the first Fujix DSLRs!
The Fujix DS-505 and 515 were released in 1994, a collaboration between Fujifilm and Nikon

I too prefer the first B&W photo to the square format. The people on the second sound uninteresting and blurry.
When asking for a preference, it's always best to number the photographs. π

No, the tiny Panasonic Lumix GM1 (2013) and Panasonic Lumix GM5 (2014) unfortunately sell for too much on the rental market.
But they are very pretty tiny cameras, I would love to get my hands on one of them one day.
