Yes, very quiet. I actually got a shot of Palmer today when didn't turn away fast enough! Now all I need is some time to get it to LR and post. :)
Lexi certainly looks like he's in the catbird seat there! ;)

I like how your colorful neighbor is keeping a low profile. She probably hoped you wouldn't see her there. Fooled her alright! :)
I have to admit I have debated for a long time about going back to the Sunday Cat's origin site at DPR. It might continue to languish in the Olympus forum there. It's been suggested to me that put it into the Micro Four Thirds forum (DPR), as that forum is much more active. While true, I've often found the tone of the forum to be less than appealing, so haven't tried to take it there. I did some cross posts in the MFT forum for a while pointing at the Olympus forum, but couldn't get any cross over visits.
None of the photography topic forums here or there seem suitable, although maybe Home Photography here would work. But since the Sunday Cat! is more about the kitties and their stories, a forum angled towards techniques and critiques just doesn't seem to be the right place for this. Also, while the Sunday Cat! was never exclusively for Olympus users, it was originated by Olympus owners in the Olympus forum and the E series cameras featured quite a bit early on, I've tried to keep that heritage alive (but just barely!). Historically, the Sunday Cat! has not openly solicited images of family members of other species, but it does have a history of dogs, some birds and other visitors making cameo appearances from time to time. We certainly can do that here. :)
Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly gathering of image makers on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. With the announced shuttering of DPReview (which did not happen), the last Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! landed here at its new home on 9 April 2023.

The gas and electric utility PGE decided to bestow light on its customers before the day came to an end (local time) so the Sunday Cat! is now posted! The lengthy power outage also burned down my plans to work on photos today. After getting my computer up to date with maintenance, PGE decided to change my plans. So maybe later. Meantime, Palmer is still with us, and enjoyed some quality time in the sunshine today. :) He hopes that like Wesley, all the kitties get as much sunshine as they want!

I’ve looked at this kitty portrait many times over the past week. I continue to enjoy the fine detail and the very subtle colors that are present. It is a moment of great pleasure for cat and photographer. :) So even though it will be my only choice this week it is a delightful one. This week’s post will be late though. The power went out (for the second time in two days, thanks PGE!) so I am limited to my phone right now, which gets all of one bar at home. :( Will post when I can.

Daydreaming Kitty of the Week!
Milo, dreaming of other worlds? Other kitties? Making a run for it? ;)

It was a quiet week but we had the representatives from both ends of kitty life, at rest and at play. :) This past week Palmer also demonstrated another aspect of kitties, their famed nine lives. For the third time in less than a year he cheated death with a visit to the pet emergency clinic last Sunday. Although weak, he clawed his way back from that experience and is doing much better this weekend. The end is near, but not today anyway. And he remains determined not to have his picture taken! I'm trying longer lenses now in the hope I can get some without his being aware of my efforts. ;) Hope all the other kitties are doing just fine these days. :)

Glad that no cats were harmed in the making of the image! I have to admit that with Mr. P and Mr. Me, I can't really be sure. And now with Mr. P nearing the end of his life, he's not in a good spot to play or defend himself so I take all of Mr. Me's antagonisms seriously. That looks like a wonderful sturdy tree that they have there. Certainly looks like there are good opportunities for upstairs / downstairs moments like that for play. :)
It looks like there could be a story behind Milo's photo. Is he dreaming about KitKat? Or wishing he could go out and play too? Or... :)

It was a quiet week for the Sunday Cat! but KitKat's lovely portrait is still a stand out! :) I've been very much caught up in trying to manage Palmer's wellness. Several meds with differing requirements to schedule and just trying to get him to eat enough to sustain himself. Some days it looks we'll have him for a few more months, and on others it looks like time is getting short. In between, not much photography for my part. I look forward to what others can share here.

KitKat looks like royalty with her ruff all filled out like it is. I love her look toward something beyond the frame and the eye level perspective here. Wonderful kitty portrait. :)

Stripey and Tiger, getting along when it suits the moment, or maybe the furniture, or perhaps like Sisters (apologies to Tiger!) :)

Last week we had a lovely showing of some old friends, and some newer old friends. It was nice to see them all! These days I am spending a lot of time and attention on my old friend Palmer. Sad to say, he is probably in his last months (I hope it isn't weeks). So much of my attention is focused there. Being older and wiser, he also seems to have developed a special talent at looking anywhere but at the camera when one is around. I'll need to work on my shooting with the touchscreen techniques. ;) Meantime, I hope the more cooperative kitties will drop by again this week. :)

Ebony seems a little surprised by the contrast of orange to black. Bennie also seems to have found a moment of contrasts, the colorful bag that offsets his color and markings very nicely. :)
Work? Who needs to work???
Reminds me of a friend who had a dog named Dog Dog. Sometimes simplicity is the best thing. :)
Even in her youth she is an elegant kitty.
But they don't seem to be seeing eye to eye. ;)

First off, thank you to all the new posters this past week! I hope you'll find further images that you wish to share here. :) At this point it seems that I'm destined to only come up for air on Saturday, and not much before that, so please follow the link back and you'll find that I did get a chance to add some comments to last week's thread. That said, it's off to see who might stop by in the week ahead. :D

I very much enjoy seeing Milo with his so interesting ears! I'll look forward to future (kitty past) visits by him. In this one he looks like the camera caught his attention while he was doing something else. His expression seems both a bit surprised but also inquisitive, as if he is waiting for you to ask a question which he is ready to answer. Definitely a warm fuzzy feel here. :)
She definitely doesn't look too pleased! I like how tidily she has her paws arranged, and the light from behind gives her something of a halo. Too bad she wasn't interested in showing her best self to the world. ;)
