exif info for pictures, right now i am clicking on the original and using a browser plug in to see the exif, apologies if it already can be seen

At some point, it would be good to see a user "signature line(s)" option added.

Also, a list of users' current (and possibly also previous) gear would be a good addition. That was often helpful as a way of establishing additional context on the 'old' DPR.

It would be nice if email notifications could be made to work.

I received a single email notification after I turned the option on, back around when I first signed up here.

Since then, there have been quite a few responses to threads I've participated in (and/or am subscribed to) and I haven't received any further emails. I assume that's the case for others as well.

What's it matter WHAT the exif is unless someone is asking for help. I find exif quite useless. There are many ways to achieve the same image.

I've always said, IF it's a photography forum it needs to have a mandatory gallery/portfolio of at LEAST a block of 9 images. I always check to see who's trying to tell me about photography. I pay more attention if I can see they can actually use a camera. I don't need wiki regurgitated back at me! I could CARE LESS what their gear list is!!

Maybe not a "feature", but I find the opening page rather messy/complicated and way to busy. For that I prefer the look of drpenewed (Allen sh).
Same ofcourse when opening "Categories" .
I guess the use of colours/maybe less information could help a lot.

One thing that would be good to have and most flat forums have is if there could be a link connected to quoted text that when clicked took you to the full quoted post.

A ‘Next unread’ button at the head of each thread.

The breadcrumbs at the head of the thread repeated at the foot of the thread to save scrolling all the way back up the thread to return to the forum.

Was thinking it might be nice to have something like a map key of what the different colors and icons in those colors mean? When a person opens the main page there are all the categories, like a map. Add a forum map key to help understand the meaning of the categories and threads. Maybe another pinned post in certain threads, or at least in the development and migration threads? Or, even something across the top or on the side of the main page, or something along those lines if that's even possible? I know I've seen a few 'how to use this' threads, but this would be more of a quick reference guide. Just a thought.

BBcode tag is enabled in the post editor but unfortunately the CSS style attribute for the tag is not enabled.

The style attribute allows users to size and position images within a post.

For example

[IMG style="width:40%;float:right;"]pathname to image[/IMG]

will size the image to 40% of the width of the viewing browser's window and place the image on the right side allowing text to be wrapped around the image from the left.

Or you could position two images side by side.

[IMG style="width:40%;float:left;"]pathname to image[/IMG]

1. It would be good to have access to additional views in the Users page. Currently the only things we can see are the "top 50" list and the "forum team". A list of all users would also be good, as would be the ability to sort the list by different things (join date, username, no of posts etc).

2. Some site stats (some kind of dashboard view) would also be a nice-to-have. I gather that exists (@bobn2 has referred to it) but we don't seem to have access presently. I'm all for transparency. : )
