I recall that the old DPR for the Great Transition to XenForo wasn't particularly easy to follow. I ended up losing my 'xpatUSA' ID there and was then unable to sign back in ... so now I am a "new" member there, ID 'xpatUSA2'. My stuff posted as xpatUSA does remain but I can't do anything with it ...
My stuff disappeared when I went to download the gallery prior to the shutdown. It failed to download and then it no longer existed. The reply to my query about what happened resulted in some vague issue revolving around how long ago some of it was added and then a conflict with a later storage scheme.
If I hadn't gone to download, it probably would have remained. At least as long as they ran the old system for. Now, maybe it would have had the same issue when they went to the new system. I have seen similar issues with other things in the past, so I can believe that explanation.

Interesting again. I do not remember doing anything particular during transition. The only thing they increased password security and I had to add special character to my password.
It was before the transition to the new owners. Back when it was, for sure, going to die off. And they had a way to D/L your stuff before the site went dark. So, I wanted to grab my resized photos from the gallery in case I wanted to post them elsewhere. Here, in fact. Without having to go to my archives and redo any of them. But, No Joy.
Now for some Joy: I just sent you 20 pounds for the next year. Hopefully others do as well. I was aiming for $25 USD, but then decided to just make it 20 Pounds and not try to get all smarty-pants with a conversion. Ha!
Only £10 a year? I'm in!👍🙂

Be careful guys, almost everything related to photo forums is dying. Try to keep what you like alive, because you never know if you'll have the opportunity to encounter something like this again, in this life.
Stan, thank you very much. I got the email from Paypal, but didn't recognise the email address it came from. So I was going to ask here. But you've saved me a job.
Yes, PayPal gives the option of using your card directly, but it also allows you to add some to cover processing fees so that's the path I took. It's too bad there is no access to the database under the website. My day job is working with databases.
Ah, yes. PP has an older email address. They don't allow a change. One has to kill the account and start over. Since I keep the older email alive for other reasons, I don't bother to change my Pay Pal.
It looks like there are some settings in PayPal that might need to be changed. From what I can see Singapore is on the automatically accepted and converted list.
It may or may not be DPRevived. A few years ago I tried to subscribe to JStor and failed. PayPal wasn't accepting payments for JStor from Singapore. I have not tried to subscribe since. JStor only used PayPal, and nothing else.
In the PayPal forums, questions about it went unanswered.
