    This is a photo I took of a Platypus at the Tasmanian Arboretum towards the end of last year. These aren't easy critters to photograph as they don't come out of the water often and when they do, they don't stay still. The iconic parts of these animals are their snout and their tail and it is often difficult to get both of these in the one shot.

    An excellent photo. As you explained, these little critters are extremely hard to photograph, especially in the wild. Generally they aren't seen until the darker edge of dusk and using a flash isn't good for them.
