I just noticed something recently. You can get Canon DSLRs and lenses for about what you could last year. However, many Nikon DSLR bodies (D8XX etc) and F-mount lenses are now rapidly increasing in price.

For example, the 24-120mm f/4 that I am going to get today was about £250 three years ago when my brother bought one. I was not able to find one under £350 for a long time now. (currency converted from CHF)

Has anyone else noticed this ?

I recently traded in a Z7 and D850. I got a lot more for the D850, which has held its value more than the Z7. I have noticed a lot of older Ais glass is getting expensive and rarer.

Generally there has been a huge shift to SH gear, and prices have risen.

    Hi,

I have not been paying any attention to the used Nikon prices. I have plenty of it here, all unused for the past few years. I moved into the digital medium format world and just quit using the Nikon small format gear. That MF kit and a cell phone. I had thought about selling some of the Nikon stuff, but figured it had lost most of whatever value it had.

It might pay to pay attention once more.
