Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends, and occasional canine guests. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

"Official" posting time is every Sunday at 0000 UTC. Because this is Saturday afternoon for me, posting time may vary to accommodate my schedule. Thread Manager's Corner:
I never thought of the Sunday Cat! as a place for product endorsements, but it seems we're having a moment here. :) We also seem to be having a moment with our canine friends dropping in to remind us that our feline friends are not the only ones who occupy our heart and home. So let's see who drops in this week, shall we? :D

Though small in size, the imprint they make on our lives is huge.

My kitties have all had access to a track ball toy, but one different from the favored model. ;) I've gone through most of my photos and apparently I only have this one from May 2020 showing it, and the cat isn't even playing with the ball, which can't be seen...

Mr. Me looking startled by something, but not the track ball. The glass dish in the middle would typically be filled with some catnip to kick off the party. I think though, judging by the pictures we've been seeing here, the other version is more popular.

Recently I was looking at some older Sunday Cat! threads at DPReview (they are hard to follow with the threading broken...) and noticed this photo was not in my posted images folder. So apparently I posted it directly from the card to DPR. It dates from January 1, 2019.
