Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! now in it's 19th year, has appeared each Sunday,except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, because we couldn't let it disappear, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

"Official" posting time is every Sunday at 0000 UTC. Because this is Saturday afternoon for me, posting time may vary to accommodate my schedule. Thread Manager's Corner:
It was a good week, both here and for everyone who received their hats! If anyone has had any second thoughts, I do have a couple extra in spruce. Let me know and I'll see about getting one to you. :) I have to admit it is exciting to have a resident kitty to photograph again. I've got to get back into the hang of having the camera out and ready to go, as well as getting the photos into Lightroom right away for editing instead of letting them accumulate in the camera. (Although so far the OOC jpegs have been pretty good.) So, there should be more from me. And of course I'm looking forward to what you will share. :D

Thanks WhyNot for your reply to the beta. It was a good test. I replied with some comments about the changes there. Mainly it's about better notifications. It actually works now.

This one is interesting. I can't quite put my finger on exactly why, but this kitty looks like a small wild cat rather than a domestic cat.

Yes, we spent a bunch of money on him at the vet. And, then he is so darned cute. And a love bug. So, now he is a permanent resident. Might be a while before Jack, Doris, and Sammy get used to him, though.
