This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

(Digirame is probably still busy, so I started this new thread)

Our weekend was one with good and decent weather.
Decided to go for a hike as we almost every week try to do😉
Visited the Oudemolensche Diep area (a local small stream) that is part of the Drentsche Aa and the National Park Drentsche Aa.
Some spots near the stream were still very muddy 😆

Thanks Photobygms. Yes, I was busy post processing photos and other things. I just realized that I forgot to start the thread.

This past weekend I took a ton of photos at another tulip festival. Here's one of them, while I keep working on getting some other photos together. This one is one of my favorites. A lot of times, people are shy about getting pictures taken from someone they do not know. In rare cases, people will step into your frame and pose for you too. I've only had it happen a few times. I could be mistaken and she might have been posing for someone else. If so, that's OK. It still made a nice photo.

I'll show some more pictures tomorrow. It's late. But I did finish post processing my tulip festival pictures from three cameras. 😀

Thanks again Photobygms. I truly was so busy that I thought...wow...it's Monday already...whoops...I forgot to start the thread. 😀 So that's why I popped in now to start the thread, if you hadn't done it already. Thanks.

    Photobygms,

What fun that must be to explore for wildlife while you go on your hikes. It looks like another marvelous area. I just love seeing all of that bright blue sky. My favorite is the picture of the two birds in the tree. You probably told me what type they are, but I've forgotten.

@Digirame the two big white ones are White storks 😉
The little one is an Eurasian chaffinch.

Even if she didn't pose for your photo I do like it almost looks like she wanted to jump 😄

Thanks Photobygms. I have many photos of these tulips. I'll start with showing more pictures I've taken previously in March.

    Subject: Another Hike

Here are some pictures of another hike I took in March. I've been to this place before. Hopefully I don't show duplicates even though I took these on another day.

Photo No. 1 - I like these "dead" trees that soon will come to life, as each day gets warmer. I liked seeing them with the dark branches.

Photo No. 3 - Here we see a hearing device. It's a megaphone in reverse, where it amplifies the sound a person hears. It could be called an acoustic horn or ear trumpet from what I read. A person is supposed to hear wildlife. I didn't try it. to listen to birds singing etc.

Photo No. 10 - After I came out of the trees I saw this. This is a representation of a squirrel house, shown oversized for demonstration purposes. That was described on the sign nearby. I did not see any of these squirrel houses in the trees. I thought squirrels hid in trees, in places they hollowed out in branches. I didn't know they built houses. I'll have to look more carefully for them some day.

    Subject: Mt. Hood

At the end of March I had a chance to go to Mt. Hood. It is the highest mountain in Oregon. It's a volcano that is dormant, but could be active at any time.

Photo No. 1 - I was fortunate to be able to take a picture of Mt. Hood through the windshield (windscreen) as we drove on the highway towards the mountain.
