Yesterday was sunny - a day to get out around the town. Rochdale has murals around the centre and there's even a map showing where they are www.rochdale.gov.uk/downloads/download/1216/common-walls-mural-map - so I thought I'd try and find some. Here's some - more in the next reply.

    They are really beautiful.

A little bit of color. This photo was going to be "lonely benches" and then the lady arrived...

The backdrop is nicely used. I think you should try with a stronger subject. The spot has potential, it’s quite different from most wall adverts.

I recently posted this over at DPR and it occurred to me that this is a street shot just not on the "street" SO at the Botanical
    Gardens

Street is more about story, attitude and often just candid photography IMHO.

    WhyNot

There are millions of definitions for what street photography is, and I don't care! If you like it and think it is a street photo, it is a street photo. I constantly see people keep telling others what it is or not SP; their comments are just a full waste of time and space.

    Miss… er, Mr Liberty…

The mural is the work of a dude who calls himself "el tenista de Krakovia" and apparently, he sneaks in and paints on the building's walls before it's demolished...

Trump and Mr Liberty ! It is a wonderful capture, a strong political juxtaposition.

I really liked this capture. There is a strong subject and unlike what you expect from a cyclist, she is not riding her bike. Great use of shallow depth of field brings nice subject isolation while the subject is sharply focused with plenty of details. The silver car spoiled the scene, but when you are on the street, you compose what it gives you.
