Macro photography is a world that intrigues me and this shot shows why. I get to examine something that otherwise I'd have looked at but never seen.
Am I missing something here? The caps on FACE suggest there is a hidden face hidden?
The multiple blue lines are eyecatching. They frame the filament so we look study and appreciate it.

I can't think of anything to add to Roel's comments on minniev's photo.
But his aside re his son's close escape also reminds me of a similar situation. We had a pool and a large dog that could be frightening. We couldn't let him in the pool area. He's bark and snarl and rush at people in ways that look very much like Roel's photo. He wasn't attacking though, he was in "save" mode and was very distressed when someone went into water. He would try to grab you to stop you going in or leap into the water to try to grab us and get us out.

If it wasn't for version two, I would have assumed that the cupboards have a lean. That would be OK and entirely acceptable and unquestioned, given the subject matter. It isn't that I prefer one to two or two to one. Either works. I simply feel that on this occasion it would be better not to have the two versions together.
Old timers and old time workshops. Made to be photographed. Do you have any close ups of the contents of some of the boxes? Like night follows day. When I see something like this I next want to see the tools in detail.
The pose of your old tradesman is special. A relaxed man absolutely at home in a workroom that fits him like a glove. He isn't the sole subject. Placing him mtionless to the side gives prominence to the workshop wall as well. They belong together.

Stunning, "stop you in your tracks" visual. Shame about the blur.

There are a whole lot of arcs repeated in this shot, in the curve of the road, the puddle and the building.. The road and puddle take us to the building and there we find the arcs again. The front arc where the road changes colour while directing us down the road is especially effective as is the brighter, smaller arc on the end of the building..
As you like playing with images in PP Open Cube, a thought for an experiment. Maybe play around with a composie of this shot with some mirror imaged versions?

It's a great image with lots of interesting aspects. I prefer the angled version, because it almost feels like the man portrayed here is keeping everything stable with his calm demeaner and everything would come crashing down, once he stopped being there. I also like the light, which I assume, is coming in from outside and provides a tranquil atmosphere, full of lived life and memories.

I love the look and colors. Even though the bike is there, I'm mainly drawn to the tree... It looks gorgous.

The repeated and dimininishing sized orange objects (I think they are reflections of lights?) move down and disappear into a dark doorway. What more evocative spot for them to recede to? Or are they coming from the doorway towards us? It doesn't matter, it's the feeling of movement that counts.
The combination of doorway arch and rectangular frames is beautifully balanced as a background for the orange reflections.
The brilliant orange against the B&W background gives these relatively small objects impact plus. The hints of medieval decoration in the background are starkly contrasted to modern shapes/colours of the lights. This adds another element to the image.A hint of time travel.

That is a nice scene well caught, with the offset Quonset style barns. I don't mind them being centered but the photo would also work with some space removed on the left, since the winding road and its puddle are big enough to still accommodate such a change. The colors, while exaggerated, are within the realm of believable so the result is both convincing and artistic. This is a nice one.

Yikes! What an experience! Quite a dramatic shot of the dog with bared teeth nipping at Simon's heels.

I really like this one. The infrared works so well on this tree with the puffy clouds and darkened sky in the background. The bike and power lines remind us it's the real world and not a fairy tale setting. I really like the simple dark blue toning for this. One of your best!

I don't know what I'm seeing but it seems like a parade of ghosts carrying fancy torches as they proceed from a fancy tunnel. However you got this (some kind of reflection I suppose), it's brilliantly spotted and conceived. Well done.

My guess is that we are looking out through the window of a fancy restaurant that is dimly lit.
Through the window we see the structure of the facade opposite.
Reflected in the window are stylish table lamps in a neat row, on the tables in the restaurant.

That is what my brain is telling me.
My eye and heart are telling me: "great catch!"

It is organized with light and at the same time very loosely orchestrated, giving the empathetic feeling of being welcome. The way to make people feel at home. It also has a classic artestic appearance.

The Romans are known for their innovative architecture. Think aqueducts, but that they were already riding Vespas in those days is a revelation to me ;)

Mike the sepia color shows a little more detail (see motor). It looks like they were hidden in the catacombs by the government or a dealer, but I think this is an insane find and well worth the photo and this may be hidden for another thousand years.

It's not hard to recall Hitchcock here, despite the ingredients having a slightly different order and protection. I admit that your photo is at its best when enlarged to the maximum.

After all, now we can see why you gave that title rightfully to your photo, and the interaction with the birds now gets the meaning.
