A carefully selected angle that conveys the height and the performance.
It is worth looking at the shot as large as you can view it and exploring the faces - performers and audience.
The wheels, high and low, make for an unusual framing. That's appropriate for the zany show.

The truck was indeed an integral part of the performance. Not only was it the stage, but the construction was also rigged with numerous "booby traps" : platforms colliding and collapsing, smoke fire and mirrors etc. Almost like an additional character of the show.
The show's title "Arrêt d'Urgence" means "Emergency Stop". The truck played a part in living up to that title.

I'm not sure whether folks are seeing the same thing that I thought I was seeing here. I didn't think these were random discussions. I thought I could see something in particular that was being discussed.

Thank you for stopping by and the comment ... The crop was a bit tighter than my original one and helped with the removal of branches, etc (which I didn't do with my original version) .... I think there are a couple processing steps that I could have avoided. I was surprised at davidwein's thinking that buildings name was significant. I actually thought it was enough out of focus to not be readable but even so not in focus enough to be part of the story!!! ... and I guess I should add for anyone who might read this that I DON'T DO POLITICS HERE .... and besides this picture is from 2021!!! .....
    So ....

Engaging, effective composition to show both a displayed photo and a camera. That must have been a fascinating visit for you!

I love sunlit subjects with dark backgrounds! The bits of leaves around the edges of all the frames result in a very attractive composition IMO. There's something about the light or the shapes that makes the flower look like it's popping out of the frame. A captivating photo.

An amusing scene and an interesting image well composed and well taken. The red and orange clothing and other components serve to scatter and draw our eyes through the mid ground with all its interesting characters and objects. But of course the hoisted piano, its angled musician banging away in formal wear, is the center of attention. I'm not sure what is happening with the dangling barefoot legs but I'm intrigued. Nice catch.

City life can be confusing anywhere. But I have not seen a pedestrian walk chained off before. There's a couple of serious looking discussions going on in the street where the participants could easily become flattened, and the setting looks a bit like the ring of a contest, so there are stories to be found here. In the US, these ladies could be in some serious danger, even if they didn't stop in the intersection to have their conversation.

I really like the new driveway, with its eye-leading curve that turns into a vanishing point, and interesting and authentically Australian looking foliage and trees lining the way. The late afternoon shadows give the scene a peaceful end-of-day feel, as if the work is done for now. Of course the pup makes the scene, peering into the distance as if waiting for someone who's coming...All the objects in this scene are well placed for compositional excellence. This is very well done.

I have seen your avatar many times, but have never known you to explain what it is. I'd guess a rusty screwdriver, drill bit or another small well worn tool, but how you transformed it into a shooting star is beyond my understanding. The angles and backgrounds you use capture our imaginations as much as the subject matter. Nice balance, good color contrast.

The couple is enjoying a lazy day in the hammock, dressed for casual relaxation as if they are enjoying a weekend or a college break. Having them suspended in front of a staid business complex provides some contrast between what is expected of them and what is required of those who are typically captive inside the multistory office building. Creative processing helps further the divide between the two sets of symbols.

Reminiscent of your hop orchards, this one is full of the same captivating geometries - interesting repetitive shapes and intersecting/overlapping lines and nested repeating forms, rich colors, an an abstracted quality even though the image is not quite abstract. the leading lines lead forever, all the way to the distant mountains. A feast for the eyes, this is a really really nice image.

Beautiful water lily with amazing detail in the tiny water drops that line the flower. The color is rich and true and contrasts nicely with the complementary greens. I like the repeated fringing pattern of the flower's shadow and the edges of the lily pads. Also, I'm especially fond of the furled up pads that have not yet opened. Very nice floral image.

Though you've taken/presented an image from India, the story is a universal one. The cultural aspects make yours more interesting than the one in my archives, but the scene is virtually identical: a sign announces the seriousness of the men working. In reality, often only one man, if that, is busy. The rest are what we locally refer to as sidewalk superintendents. That is what you have, in exotic dress, in the lovely soft light of an Indian day.

In mine the battered sign said Slow! Men Working! One fellow was digging diligently and without progress in a geyser of a water leak in my yard while 8 more lay in the grass, leaned against signs, chatting with one another, playing on their cell phones. Shovels lay in a pile. My camera was an intervention. As soon as I went out and walked among them taking photos, they began to get some hasty shoveling done. I think they suspected I would email the photos to their supervisor.

You capture a lot in the subtle workings of their hands and feet. Their feet quite match. She is walking in lockstep with him. And the angle lets us see the grip she has on his finger. The poignant little tuft of canary-feather hair is the icing on this cake. Tender moment, well caught.

This is a good one, though I am curious about how it looked in its original colors and whether that told a different story. The composition works well - the clownish figure it's its fright wig of a hairdo and the oversized shoes, leant against the light pole playing with his phone, with the Danger/High Voltage sign just back of him. The rectangular building blocks of the composition are lined up quite nicely to form both foreground and background geometry (buildings, sidewalks, road, doorways, lights, hedges, and the big object holding the Danger sign). From a technical perspective, you've avoided the halos that sometimes plague you with your ambitious color conversions. It's an intriguing scene with an enigmatic figure, mixed comedy and mystery. Well spotted and constructed.

I like it! Wonderful lines, colors and I also really enjoy that you chose a composition which is not entirely symmetric. I'm sure those constructions offer a lot of possibilities to play around with. What I'd be curious about, is seeing what a tilt/shift lens might be able to do with those...
