    Subject: Someone's Pet Duck?

Photobygms took some photos of ducks at short focal lengths. That reminded me of one I took recently at 99mm FL. I think it was someone's pet duck. It was at the pond where I previously saw the Hooded Merganser ducks.

Who says we always need a large telephoto lens for birds? 😀

We do have a different ones in our backyard but they all are already overblown. Some were single color and a few were multicolor (yellow/red)
    Again a nice set @Digirame

We are still in the Province Zeeland, visited a nature reserve called Oranjezon. Spotted some European fallow deer and did enjoy a nice sunny hike again.

    Photobygms,

I learn a lot from seeing your photos. So I looked up the Province Zeeland and the "Natuurgebied Oranjezon". That looks like a neat area to take photos being that it is surrounded with waterways and bridges. The pictures along the coast remind me to visit our own beaches in Oregon more. I just loved seeing the deer. Would you be able to take photos of windmills, tulip farms and the towns too? At least from our perspective from us that do not live there, that would be interesting.

@Digirame It's a very nice area for hiking and nature lovers😊 You can cross it and see the different "landscapes" a forest, dunes and some low growth areas.
We both do like to be in nature so cities, town and villages are not high on our list for taking photos.
Domburg where we are staying is a very touristic seaside town, even between holidays there a many tourists.

Do like the purple one, not that the other one is bad but the color does make a difference 😉 @Digirame

    Stealh edit:
When the weather is nice you should enjoy it @stevet1 some nice springcolors and nice blue sky!!

We managed to get some birds to day at a new nature reserve called Noordervroon, a small wetlands area close to the dike near a small village called Westkapelle.

Looking at your pictures, I love the spring green colors we see each year. I also took lots of photos of this new growth. It's such a nice time of the year.

    Photobygms,

I like the white Trillium flowers that do not have blemishes. I also sometimes have to shake off pine needles, insects or pollen. When that all is done, then that's what I like; a pure clean white flower.

    Photobygms,

I like seeing the birds at focal lengths up to 600mm. Thanks for identifying each one also. Those birds are much different than the ones I find in Oregon. The Egyptian Geese look neat and I like that you captured two of them together in flight. What lens did you use for those?

    Photobygms,

That's neat you saw a ship so close to the shore. Sometimes we have large ships like that, that navigate up the Columbia River, all the way to Portland, Oregon. The landscapes you show us look wild and free. I like that you can drive the cars up to the beach like that. At times we can also do that in sections. That's a nice picture of a deer. I rarely find them, but when I do sometimes they can make it difficult to get close. Their hearing is so sensitive, so even a super quiet step can sometimes send them running out of the meadows into the forest where they cannot be seen.

Most won't cross the oceans to visit the "new world" 😆
I did use the Sigma 60-600 sport lens that we bought last year to replace the broken 150-600 we used.

Those ships depart from Antwerpen or better the Port of Antwerp and sail through the Westerschelde
This section of the Autostrand Westkapelle we visited is close to the "River mouth" of the Westerschelde and the Northsea.

We actually didn't except to see those roe deer at that spot, close to a farmhouse. but again with the 60-600 and some cropping a nice photo I think 😁

    Dig,

Yes, it was getting dark. You can just scratch this. It was just an afterthought.

Actually, I was trying to learn how to transfer a RAW file to my tablet from my camera, and using Lightroom Mobile, convert it to a jpg, and save the jpg to an SD card, and then upload it from my tablet to here.

It was a long, slow process, and one I probably won't repeat too often.
