    The Weekly Street Photography Thread.

We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images

An interesting duell of light and shadow, in which I might perhaps slightly accentuate the illuminated areas of the young woman's face. And, in the foreground, the "presence" of the other lady is a fun detail...

I really like the composition of the scene, the play of light, and those soft colors selectively concentrated in certain areas. Your processes are very personal, and while I like them, sometimes they interfere a bit with appreciating certain aspects of the image...

Thanks! Yes, complimentary (and mandatory) HDF filters come with the subway in the form of windows. 😁

Great pic you just got it at the right moment, my eye goes first to her and then to the shop and the realisation that this is the only light.

Going for a walk today I have sciatica and it's slowly going, I found myself behind this couple. They turned off and by the time I got there they were some way away this didn't look too bad so it took it. By the time I'd walked up to them a mother and child had joined them. I wanted ask their permission to use the pic and was going to ask them to pose for another one that that would show their faces but the moment was lost. She has a face and was full of interest in what I was doing, I'm thinking of doing a print and taking it round and asking if she would pose for some portraits, well you never know.

To me, the interesting part is that they are having to walk in the road because of the cars on the pavement. So, it's a 'documentary' street image.

Thanks for that Alan I hadn't noticed you're right. The pavements are not too good either, we are not in the tourist/holiday area, another forgotten place, with the occasional council vanity project.

Hi James, good luck with the lady. It’s often a shame because, out of shyness, we hesitate to ask someone interesting to pose for a photo...

Thanks a lot, James. It’s one of those shots where you stumble upon an interesting setting and just have to wait a bit for a main character to come along...
